I am 100% a fan of this year's Pantone color tangerine tango.  As I gathered my photos from the week I began to notice a trend.  You see it too?  This was an unintentional {or subconscious?}thing.  I love orange and coral and all the burnt moody versions of these hues.  I have high hopes that the year of tangerine tango is going to be a lovely one.

Photo blurbs from left to right -

It finally snowed here last weekend.  It happened overnight, but when it started up again Saturday afternoon I took my books back to the library just for an excuse to be outside and smell the snow.

Behold - my first instagram photo!  The subject: my afternoon snack at work, a yummy grapefruit.
No, I didn't get an iphone, but I want one just for the instagram app.  Unless my phone meets an untimely demise {I've thought about pushing it in front of a train}I'll hold out for my upgrade in 9 months. {NINE MONTHS?!} Until then, I put my coveting on hold and had myself a life changing epiphany - the ipad at work is just laying around collecting dust.  It has been in the box untouched for the past three months I've worked here.  Waste not, want not.

The a fore mentioned tangerine tango.

A self portrait when I should have been doing any one of a number of other things.

A 'doily thing' I came across somewhere online that I will attempt soon.

Something that made me smile this week - The sunrise this morning through the window in my living room, with my cat on my lap purring away in hopes of bits of my scrambled egg.

Something I read this week that inspired me:  The Japanese word shoshin means openness and eagerness.  Zen teacher Shunryo Suzuki-roshi said, "In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's there are few."

the quote for the week that caught me Monday and I'm still thinking about the potential of it today.
"In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out.  It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being." - Albert Schweitzer

  2. When it snows (seldom ever) I find excuses to stay indoors. When it snows you find excuses to go out into it. Guess who is younger.
